Having the external CCK can sometimes cause conflicts with the built-in wireless. See if you have a box connected to your Genie labeled as a wireless Cinema Connection Kit (CCK). Expect you are using 2.4 as the 5Ghz is an option in newer, higher end routers and would not be the default option.
Most main Genies have the wireless built-in. On Demand is from internet, not the satellite so naturally is unavailable when your internet goes down.

Sometimes it squeals in the bluetooth in my ear, but most of the time it does it with no active bluetooth.Ĭompared to your Mini Genie Client (C41) there are wireless models as well (C41W and recently seen C61W) which use a wireless video bridge (WVB) to work (Genie-2 has WVB built in). Sometimes I have additional connections, but the past 2 days when it squealed, there was no bluetooth active. I believe On Demand is wireless - at least I know that when our internet is down, we don't have On Demand.
